Moto G7 makes the surface online, hints at the notch and bevel

Earlier this year, Motorola launched the Moto G6 lineup in Brazil. The series consists of three smartphones – Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus – the first two of which are available in India since June, and the third is expected to be launched in the country tomorrow.

However, it seems that the company owned by Lenovo has already started working on the G7 series. Last month, a batch of photos featuring two new Moto smartphones appeared online. The accompanying report of XDA developers had said that one of these smartphones, shown with a waterdrop-style notch (like the one on the Oppo F9 Pro) could be the next Moto G7.

Now a graphic designer named Waqar Khan used these handy photos to simulate some renderings, which gave us an idea of how the Moto G7 looks. Renders show the Moto G7 with a minimum of glasses on the sides, but also a large chin. At the top is a water-shaped notch sheltering the selfie camera, with the earpiece just above.

At the rear, the design language is largely identical to that of the G6 series. There is a horizontally curved back panel (probably glass). You also get a prominent circular module for the dual camera system and two-tone LED flash. Just below it is Motorola's 'Batwing' logo, which will likely become a fingerprint sensor.

There is also a video rendering by Waqar Khan this highlights some aspects of what could be the Moto G7. It shows the SIM / microSD hybrid card tray on the top, as well as several color options.

Look: Moto G7 (and G7 Plus) fan-shaped

Moto G6 Plus is equipped with a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 associated with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also an expansion slot that can support microSD cards up to 256 GB. The smartphone has a FullHD + 5.99-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2160 pixels and a format of 18: 9 image. It resists splashing and runs Android Oreo immediately, with an upgrade to Android Pie that should arrive shortly. The software experience is primarily inventory driven, with customary Motorola customizations being generalized.
