Pokemon: Let 's Go Pikachu and Let' s Go Eevee are expected to arrive on Nintendo Switch here a little over a week and The Pokemon Company is stepping up for its release with a new trailer. While the last one gave us a first look at Lavender Town, this video presents some of the tough coaches that keep you from becoming a Pokémon Master. Gentle spoilers follow.

The trailer begins with a glimpse of Sabrina, the head of psychic-type gyms in Saffron City. We also have a glimpse of the villainous Team Rocket's leader, Giovanni, as well as a quick overview of the Elite Four – the four powerful coaches waiting for you at the Pokemon League. You will only be able to challenge the Elite Four if you have collected the eight gym badges from the Kanto region. You will have to defeat them successively to become the champion.

The new trailer especially reveals that Red and Blue – the protagonist and rival of the original Red, Blue and Yellow versions – will appear in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. At first glance, you will be able to face them during your adventure, but it remains to know if they use their range of original Pokémon. Red and Blue are not the only reminders of the original Gen 1 games, either; At the end of the trailer, you can see a preview of the trainer who appeared alongside them in the original artwork of the titles.

As The Pokemon Company recently revealed, your adventure does not end once you've defeated the Elite Four. Once you become the Pokemon League champion, new and powerful master coaches will be appearing in the region. Each one of them specializes in a particular Pokémon and you will have to fight it by using this same Pokémon to claim his title.

Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee will be available on Nintendo Switch on November 16th. You'll learn more about games in our latest practical impressions. We also recently met Let's Go's director, Junichi Masuda, on the challenges of updating Pokemon Yellow for a new generation and on why Pokemon's rivals are no longer fools, among others.
