We will attend another Halloween event at Pokemon Go in October.
This is according to a newsletter that arrives in the inboxes of players this week. The letter confirms that the now annual event will come back into the game (it appeared in 2016 and 2017).
"Latest news! Latest news, trainers!" the announced newsletter (via a Spanish screenshot on Reddit).
"Professor Willow has reported a wave of scaring and fears nearby. Is it work of a Ghost type Pokémon? Stay tuned for the know."
Pokemon Go Halloween 2018 – When does it start?
To watch this year, the event of last year can be useful.
In 2017, Niantic confirmed that the celebration of Halloween will begin on October 20 at noon. PDT and run until November 2 at 1:00 pdt
If we can expect a similar pattern this year, we can probably see the event start at about the same time – or maybe Friday the 19th (since it's a Friday of this year, the day of the beginning of the event in 2017).
We will keep you posted as soon as Niantic confirms the official start time.
Pokemon Go Halloween 2018 – Generation 4 will be introduced?
We have already seen Pokemon Go Generation 4 Pokemon being teased before – you can read all the details about it on the link – but will we see the new month presented to Halloween … in the same way as the year before? latest?
Renowned data analyzer and traffic analyst Chrales noted that data from the August version of the game included references to Sinnoh Pokedex entries (these have since been deleted).
Similar events occurred behind the scenes of the game when Generations 2 and 3 were announced. Generation 3 came to Halloween last year, and Generation 2 was added in February earlier in the year.
It is also interesting to note that as early as July, the promotional art featuring the Generation 4 Pokémon (Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup) was shared via the official Twitter account of Pokemon GO.
They would not publish a tease like that without including the Pokemon soon … is not it? We will know it soon.
Pokemon Go Halloween 2018 – Which Pokemon could be included?
It is interesting to note that the letter only mentions one Pokémon. As Comicbook.com reports, this could suggest that we are going to see a Pokémon of different shapes taking center stage this year.
This means that we could see the Generation 4 Rotom being at the center of the event. The gimmick of Rotom is that he likes to live and own different home appliances, which means that it can act from six different types (in the same way as Castform and its shape change according to the weather situation).
Here is what Rotom can transform into:
• When there is no device, it is electric / phantom.
• When it has a microwave oven, it becomes Heat Rotom and is of the electric / fire type.
• When he has a washing machine, he becomes Wash Rotom and is of type Electric / Water.
• When it has a refrigerator, it becomes Frost Rotom and is electric / ice type.
• When he has an electric fan, he becomes Fan Rotom and is electric / flying.
• When he owns a lawn mower, he becomes Mow Rotom and is electric / turf type.
Otherwise, we may witness an increase in the number of ghost type spawns during the duration of the event.
It has also been speculated that Giratina – a legendary Ghost Gen 4 – will replace Metwo as the EX Raid leader.
