Nintendo Labo now supports Mario Kart for the cardboard race

Nintendo publishes a new Mario Kart Deluxe 8 update today which includes Labo support for the switch. The game update introduces the Toy-Con Motorbike to Mario Kart, from the Nintendo Labo Variety kit. You can use the cardboard handlebar to turn, turn the right handlebar to accelerate and use the other Joy-Con buttons to pull objects, brake and drift around the rails. If you know a group of friends with Nintendo Labo, you can even use up to four Toy-Con motorbikes to play simultaneously.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo's first game outside of Labo to be updated with support for Toy-Con, and Nintendo says it plans to update more titles to support Lab in the future. Beside the Mario Kart update, Nintendo also organizes a second Labo designer contest. Nintendo is looking for the best Toy-Con musical instrument and the best use of Toy-Con Garage for games. The winners will receive a special Nintendo Switch in the form of cardboard with a custom paint job.
