The successful AirPods from Apple have a lot of rivals at the moment. Companies such as Sony, Huawei, Samsung, Google and OnePlus have designed their own wireless headphones in recent years. And Nokia has joined this list by launching its own Nokia True Wireless earphones.
Nokia unveiled Thursday the mid-range Nokia 7.1 handset, as well as two new audio accessories, including Nokia Pro wireless headphones and headphones.
True Wireless headphones have a minimalist design and come with a smooth charging case. They are waterproof and can provide up to 3.5 hours of use time. The box provides three additional charges for a total of 14 hours of music playback or 16 hours of calls. Nokia says you can "pair them effortlessly" with your phone via Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. To charge the case, you will need the same Type-C USB cable that you use for your Android phone.
The earplugs will cost $ 129 ($ 148) in Europe and should be available in stores later this year. The Pro Wireless headphones, meanwhile, will be more affordable at $ 69 ($ 79), but they are not as beautiful as True Wireless models. The headphones are connected by a wire that you wear around the neck.
The advantage is that you get a better battery life, up to 10 hours of reading from a single charge. They also have Qualcomm aptX support and allow you to easily summon your favorite AI assistant – probably by pressing a button. To stop playing music or a call, simply remove them from your ears and clip them. Vibrating motors in the neckband let you know that a call is coming in.
The disadvantage is that they have a headband.
