The official launch of the OnePlus 6T will be in a few weeks, but recent releases of the new device may have revealed their appearance. As expected, the OnePlus 6T will borrow design clues from the Oppo R17.
Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) and MySmartPrice have recently released OnePlus 6T renderings based on factory CAD. This means that the images provide the most accurate representation of what the final product will look like during its official launch.
Based on the renderings, the OnePlus 6T has a small waterdrop notch on its screen and, at first glance, the handset can easily be confused with the Oppo R17. The only difference between them is that the 6T seems to have a more premium look and feel. On the one hand, the OnePlus 6T shown in the black color signature mirror option renders.
The renderings show that the OnePlus 6T will arrive with two cameras on its back. This completely demystifies previous rumors that the handset will likely have a set of three rear-facing cameras. The fingerprint sensor is also not found since the OnePlus 6T has already been confirmed with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The handset will house a fingerprint sensor, which means it will display an OLED screen. Sources say that the phone's display measures 6.4 inches.
A 360-degree video showing the OnePlus 6T from all sides was also broadcast. At first glance, the handset does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack and will only have one USB Type-C port. Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, has already explained that the time has come to remove the headphone jack because it was able to collect data indicating that the majority of consumers are already using a wireless headset. Nevertheless, the 6T will always come with an adapter so that users can still use their wired headset.
Although the renderings only show the OnePlus 6T in its mirror black color option, it is very likely that the company will release other color variants, according to the Android authority. The popular rumor right now is that the OnePlus 6T will be launched on October 17th.
