The OnePlus 6T will come out this month and it will follow large divisions. On the one hand, it will lead to quite significant changes that will not make everyone happy. On the other hand, without these modifications, the OnePlus 6T is not really worth the effort compared to the OnePlus 6. In accordance with this double-edged hardware change, OnePlus also teases some user interface changes that will make its OxygenOS Android experience "the most distinct and intuitive" version yet.
Compared to other Android customizations made by other Chinese manufacturers, OnePlus' OxygenOS is comparatively less modified. However, that remains, and it would seem that the OnePlus team will go a step further, further spreading the stock of Android to deliver what OnePlus defines as a "fast, fluid and effective".
At the OnePlus Forums, software experts Szymon K and Crayon Hsieh, UX Manager, do not fear the exact changes they will make. However, they are teasing some of the improvements in gestural navigation instead of the missing navigation bar.
For example, since there is no Recent button for quick typing twice, the new OxygenOS will allow users to quickly scroll from the bottom right of the screen to switch between the two most recent applications. In addition, if you press the power button for half a second, Google Assistant will launch. Who said you needed a separate button for that?
The new OxygenOS will be based on Android 9 Pie. This was confirmed by Pete Lau, the most honored OnePlus, on his Weibo account. We do not know yet if these changes will also affect the OnePlus 6, perhaps much later.
