Eve Players attending the announcement of Torbjorn's takeover have a better idea of what his new ultimate should be called.
Blizzard has revealed Torbjorn's ultimate ultimate ultimate, an ability that retains the name of the molten core but has an entirely new effect. When activated, Torbjorn can launch projectiles that create harmful molten metal puddles wherever they land, provided that they end up on the ground. They bounce off walls and ceilings until they touch the ground and inflict increased damage to heroes with armor and can serve as a crowd control tool even if they are not used to directly damage a enemy hero.
While players are already debating the potential power of the new ability and its power in normal and competitive games, others point out that there may have been a missed opportunity to rename this ability. As the effect of the ability is now directly related to the floors and the fact that Torbjorn shouts the name of the ultimate when he used it, some players suggest that the movement should rather be called "Molten floor".

Molten core?
More like, melted floor.– Matt Gonzales (@anothrwintr) September 22, 2018
I guess that's the melted floor!

While the comments were spotted here and there on Twitter after the Hero Update announcement, one of the most direct suggestions was made by a Reddit player who said they would be damned if they called everything but Molten Floor. Other people in the message agreed and said they would have a hard time imagining anyone who would not call it Molten Floor at this point.
Unfortunately, it seems that the name is in fact still Molten Core with the legend of Torbjorn when it also uses this ability. A comparison of the video before and after the ultimate showed that the vocal line was updated with Torbjorn with a much deeper and more intimidating tone in the new version.

The situation is not the first time Eve the players suggested a different name for something. Wrecking Ball, the new hero, was not called Hammond, the true name of the hamster in the guy's outfit. While many people expected the hero to be Hammond to some extent, they were technically correct, but not with respect to the name of the game.
It is likely that "Molten Floor" appeared at one time or another during the hero's recovery, whether by a serious suggestion or a joke, but clarity was probably a determining factor in keeping it the same. It does not stop Eve Players having heard "Molten Floor" in their head every time Torbjorn used his ultimate but after his passage on the PTR servers.
