Panasonic Announces Two Full Mount Mirrorless Cameras

Leica lenses are already available, but they are very expensive, it is the least that can be said. As such, Panasonic has announced some of its own, including a 24-70mm, 70-200mm and a 50mm f / 1.4 premium. Sigma also announces that it will develop lenses for the system, including a range of highly rated art lenses.

Just as Nikon did with the Z7 / Z6, Panasonic has created high and medium resolution cameras to take Sony A7R III and A7 III respectively. With 4K 60fps, 4: 2: 2 10-bit video, S1 and S1R cameras will also be suitable for photography and video.

Specifically, Panasonic's S1R and S1 cameras seem to outperform Canon and Nikon, offering similar capabilities to Sony's A7R III and A7 III mirrorless cameras. On the other hand, Canon and Nikon are releasing their cameras next month, while the new Panasonic models will arrive at an unknown time next year.

Much will depend on the quality of the sensor, especially since it is a brand new model. Hopefully we can look at picture quality and focus later on during Photokina. The full frame frameless field is now crowded, so Panasonic will have a lot to prove if it wants to compete with its competitors, especially Sony.
