The nautical mystery in black and white of Return of the Obra Dinn – the next game of the creator of Papers, Please – will be released this autumn / autumn, announced the developer Lucas Pope.
The Obra Dra is the name of a ship that was sent back to the port after being lost at sea. All crew members are dead and you are an insurance expert charged to get on board and see how everyone died so that the families of the victims can receive the wages due.
"Insurance Adjuster" immediately conjures up images of a paper game in the same vein of Papers, Please, but it sounds a lot more interactive. You will explore the ship, find corpses and watch flashbacks of moments of death. Shaun found that there was a lot of overlap and unguided detective work in a first version that he played, which is encouraging, while Austin wrote about his time manipulation cool last year.
I can not wait for that. I love the artistic style and the idea of giving free rein to detective work. It can come out of the shadow of Papers, please stay to see – but we do not have long to wait to find out.
