Samsung Galaxy S9 and S8 have so far missed all the benefits of Android 9 Pie.

The update, spotted by XDA developers, said: "There was first Marshmallow, then Nougat, then everyone's favorite cookie, Oreo.
"Well, take another sip of milk because the next major version of Android is here.
"Will it be Peanut? Praline? Popsicle? Introducing Android 9 Pie! Get the first installment here.
So, when is the dessert? We expect Android 9 Pie to be deployed on Samsung Galaxy phones early next year.
"Until then, we hope this piece of pie holds you back."
The message did not address the exact Galaxy models that would receive the new software, which means it's unclear whether older hardware will get Android 9 Pie.
XDA Developers said Samsung Experience 10's "Alpha Leaks", the company's new skin supposedly based on Android 9 Pie, are currently available on the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 + and Galaxy Note 9 .
There was no mention of compatibility with Galaxy S8 devices.
