The Pixel 3 will challenge the best phones on the market with Google's biggest weapon: artificial intelligence. The artificial intelligence features unveiled at the event give Google something new to tell. After all, many of the phone's hardware specs – like the 5.5-inch and 6.3-inch screens of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, respectively, and the 64GB and 128GB storage options – had already made # 39; object of a leak.

Rick Osterloh, senior vice president of hardware, launched the event by introducing all the artificial intelligence tools that Pixel 3 can use with the help of Google Assistant.

"They come to the intersection of AI, software and hardware working together," he said. "It's this approach that makes Google's hardware experience so unique and that opens up all sorts of useful benefits."

He talked about the ability of Pixel 3 to improve the phone's camera using AI by relying on data collected by millions of searches on Google Image.

"Pixel's camera completely rethinks how images are captured," Osterloh said. "We can find this information in Google Images."

In a blog post, Google has called the Pixel 3 "the most useful device of your life," pointing out that the wizard can answer while charging the phone and that the camera is designed to "do not miss a catch".

The camera comes with a feature called Top Shot, which uses AI to choose the best times to take a picture. Other features include Night Sight, used in low-light conditions without flash, and Super Res Zoom, which enhances zoom without loss of image quality.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL models come in three colors, each with cheeky names: just black, distinctly white and not pink. The phones have glass backs with matt and glossy textures in a two-tone holder.

Both phones are larger than last year's models, with the Pixel 3 at 5.5 inches and the Pixel 3 XL at 6.3 inches.

The Pixel 3 has two front cameras to integrate more details into the frame, which will be particularly useful for group selfies. According to Google, the second camera captures "184% of the scene and more" as the iPhone XS. If you need a wide angle, the Pixel 3 could be your best choice.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be the third time that Google will fight against competitors like Apple, Samsung and Amazon. Google unveiled its first Pixel phones in 2016, signaling that the company is investing more in its own branded hardware to compete with Apple and Samsung in the high-end segment. It's now one of the first Android smartphones, despite the growing number of phone manufacturers on the market.

Since then, the company has invested more in its Made by Google line of devices, which includes everything from Daydream virtual reality headphones to Chromecast audio and video streaming dongles.

The goal is to compete with Apple, Samsung and Amazon to get his gadgets in your pocket and at home. Specifically, Google has pushed its Assistant software, a digital assistant similar to Alexa or Amazon's Siri, to meet users – and their data – everywhere in their daily lives.

In May, Google announced that 500 million devices with the wizard had been marketed worldwide. The devices include speakers, telephones and televisions. The company also said its partner is now a partner of 5,000 devices connected to the home network, compared with 1,500 in January.

Google wants to sell you phones and smart speakers because it knows that people are searching for different things from desktop queries to Google.com. They ask their Google Home devices to play selected playlists or use cards on their smartphones to access their favorite restaurants.

The more Google knows about your information and your interests, the more valuable its ads are for marketers who pay the company to target potential buyers based on their likes, dislikes, age, its centers of interest and its location. The company makes about 90% of its annual sales of $ 100 billion in advertising.
