Pixel Slate, Google's new Google Chrome OS tablet, was revealed at the company's hardware event in October, but has never had a reliable release date. We looked forward to its passing by the FCC last week, hoping it would mean we would see the new device soon – and it looks like our hope is not lost. The device is now available for pre-order at Best Buy and on the Google Store in the US, with both lists revealing a release for late November.

The Google Store page has an estimated delivery window between November 29 and 30 at the end of the checkout process, while Best Buy notes that the checkout date is November 22, which is the check-out date for the Pixelbook pen in midnight blue.

The Google Store rates are:

  • $ 599 for Intel Celeron / 4 GB of RAM / 32 GB of storage
  • $ 699 for Intel Celeron / 8 GB of RAM / 64 GB of storage
  • $ 799 for 8 m3 / Intel Core m3 / 8 GB of RAM / 64 GB of storage
  • $ 999 for the 8th generation Intel Core i5 / 8GB RAM / 128GB processors
  • $ 1,599 for the 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors / 16GB RAM / 256GB storage

The options for Slate on Best Buy are a bit more limited. See below:

  • 799 USD or 44.39 USD per month over 18 months for 8th generation Intel Core m3 / 8 storage / 8GB RAM / 64GB storage
  • $ 999 or $ 55.50 a month over 18 months for 8th generation Intel Core i5 storage / 8GB RAM / 128GB
  • $ 1,599 or $ 88.84 per month over 18 months for 8th generation Intel Core i7 storage / 8GB of RAM / 256GB of storage

These same three models (as well as the corresponding price tags) are also available for pre-order from B & H.

As often with these things, if you are not in the United States, you may have to wait a little longer for preorders to appear. If you are Canadian, for example, Google does not offer preorder for the tablet yet. Those in the UK, however, can visit the UK Google Store to place their order now.
