Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been disclosed pretty much nonstop since several weeks. Today, another leak has appeared to detail many of the phone's new features, including "Pixel Tips".

The best gifts for Android users

A new series of leaks MySmartPrice and Ishan Agarwal Give us an overview of some of the marketing materials that Google apparently uses for its new smartphones. This includes, in particular, a video that shows the content of Google's Google Pixel Tips apps. We have already heard of Tips several times, most recently when part of this same video has confirmed a new Google Lens feature for the Pixel 3.

Pixel Tips is apparently Google's latest method of helping new shoppers learn how their smartphones work. The video, shown below, shows several different tips, including shortcuts to open the camera, use apps like Duo and even lower the notification tone with the help of the fingerprint sensor. None of these features are new or even exclusive to Google's new phones, but it's good to see that they will make a comeback. Another notable feature featured in the video is the Active Edge for Assistant Squeeze feature, which should be on Pixel 3.

Beyond today's leak, we were able to independently confirm some of the details regarding the Pixel Tips app itself. From what we can say, there will be a category in the Settings menu on Pixel 3 devices. This would seem similar to the way Google implemented Digital Wellbeing. We were also able to get the app icon for the Pixel Tips app, as shown on the right. Apparently, the application itself will bear the name of the package "com.google.android.apps.tips".

In addition to the new details on Pixel Tips, all of today's leaks also reveal some of Google's marketing photos for the company's upcoming smartphones. These photos obviously confirm no new hardware details about the phone, but they give us some guidance on Google's strategy for these devices. Features like "Now Playing," Google Assistant, and the camera seem to remain the main focus of the Pixel 3 lineup.

Another very notable part of the marketing images and video leaked is that of the new camera interface. We've seen Google redesign the Camera app in previous leaks, but this video shows how it will work in action. Clearly, sweeps on the right allow users to access different modes, with a "Plus" tab containing various settings and modes.

At this point, we know almost everything there is to know about Google's next Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Even with the leaky software features, there is not much left to hide. However, the launch event of Google is not too far away, because the company will organize simultaneous events in New York, London and Paris, to launch its latest hardware.
