To try it, long press any place to add it to a short list, which will appear in the form of a "floating bubble on the side of your screen", has explained Sophia Lin, senior product manager of Google Maps. When you finish adding places to the list, you can share it with your friends via "any mail platform".

Recipients will see all the options you have selected on a map and will be able to scroll through a carousel at the bottom of the screen to see the details of each location. Each group member can add or delete places and vote for their choice.

Google is deploying this new group planning feature on Android and iOS this week.

The update comes after Google launched in June a new Explore tab in Google Maps, which offers recommendations for restaurants, bars and cafes in all areas that interest you. The application also offers trend lists of places you might want to consult, taken from local experts and Google's algorithms.
