PlayStation 5 Release Date, PSVR 2 Details, More Leaks

Rumors on the next-gen console are heating up as we get closer to an inevitable unveiling. A new leak lets you know when the PlayStation 5 could finally be announced to the world. It comes from a credible source that correctly called the absence of Sony E3 2019. When Sony officially confirmed that they would not be present at the E3 2019, some n? were not surprised by this news. RuthenicCookie, a Reddit user, made her flee a day earlier, and many have dismissed her. After announcing that there would be no PSX 2019, it seemed absurd to think that Sony would also escape the E3. However, in a statement obtained by Game Informer, Shawn Layden of Sony has confirmed. Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation will not attend E3, whether in the exhibition space or with a press conference, a first in the 24-year history of the convention.

The confirmation of this seemingly bizarre rumor led us to look closely at the user of Reddit who published the original leak. RuthenicCookie was very active and dropped information on the release date of PS5, PSVR 2 and even a possible Anthem delay. Please note that the comments below must be taken with a grain of salt. Although the Reddit user has had a correct leak, this does not mean that all his information is valid. This is just a rumor until confirmed by Sony.

RuthenicCookie claims that the PS5 will be revealed in mid-2019 with an event similar to that of the revelation of the PS4. After that, PSX will come back to offer more information, which it will use to finally show new elements for the new generation console. They continue by claiming that Sony is aiming for a release date for the PlayStation 5 of March 2020, but that it could be postponed to November 2020. Apparently, the console is a monster capable of a stability of 4k and 60 frames per second. The PS5 will use a Ryzen 8 core and will cost $ 500.

In addition to the information on PS5 directly, they also took the opportunity to talk about PSVR 2 and some games. Apparently, the PSVR 2 processing box will be integrated into the console this time, which will make the connection much lighter. It will have an integrated camera for tracking the internal position (just like the DualShock 5 controllers). New PlayStation Move controllers are coming, as well as virtual reality gloves being tested. Do not forget that all these rumors are not confirmed.. There is no other direct evidence to support Ruthenic Cookie's claims, although she largely agrees with speculations that have occurred for some time.
