PlayStation 5 will have a great update of the platform for PSN – Game Rant

Since its launch in November 2006, the PlayStation Network has undergone several changes that have greatly contributed to improving the stability of the online service. If we believe the recent suggestions, the service will be updated again via an infrastructure update specifically designed for the PlayStation 5.

According to a very vague tweet published by Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central, Sony is apparently planning a kind of big update for the PlayStation Network. As Corden's tweet does not really communicate details, but mentions "cloud", it is possible that the update is somehow related to cloud-based game services. Once again, there is very little to do.

As mentioned before, the PlayStation Network has undergone many changes over the last twelve years, from a service initially free – but with terrible shortcomings – to a service that now requires a premium and suffers from far fewer problems than before. the past. We can only expect Sony to continually seek to improve service as a gaming space evolving with new technological developments.

Microsoft has already focused on cloud services known to the public earlier this year, so one can only assume that Sony is also working on a similar project. Sony already offers a cloud-based game service in the form of PlayStation Now, and perhaps new infrastructure updates on the PlayStation Network could see the service become a feature of the global online service.

However, with very little information on any updates planned for the PlayStation Network or even PlayStation 5 itself, all statements related to these updates are just rumors. Since PS4 is more than five years old, we may be able to hear updates on these two areas, which are not unconfirmed statements regarding PlayStation in the near future.
