Players of the 90s will be delighted to learn that Sony is launching a miniature PlayStation console come with 20 original PlayStation games. Similar to NES NES and SNES Classics, the console itself will be significantly smaller than the original console, although the included replica controllers are of normal size. Nicknamed the PlayStation Classic, its release is scheduled for December 3, exactly 24 years after the launch of the original system in Japan. It will cost $ 100 / $ 130 CDN.
It took a while, but Sony has finally announced the full range, which you will find below. Some of the highlights include Final Fantasy VII, Flash Jumping, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. The unit will come with an HDMI cable, a USB cable and two wired controllers. Notably, it does not come with an AC adapter.
It is also worth noting that it comes with replicas of the original PS1 controller, which does not have an analog stick. In 1997, Sony launched the DualShock controller for PS1, which many people consider a significant improvement with its two analog controllers and its vibration function. It's unclear whether Sony will release DualShock controllers for the PlayStation Classic.
