If you try to enter another match of Fortnite or move on the Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2, you may have problems with the PlayStation Network. The PSN has been having problems for a while now, with people reporting being locked out of online services, having trouble logging in and error codes. The official PSN Status page currently lists the "Games and Social Networks" and "Account Management" issues, although this does not appear to be a generalized outage.

Sony's support acknowledged the problem on Twitter:

I was able to enter and start my Destiny 2 The quest series of the Festival of the Lost and I saw a lot of other Guardians out there with me. I had some trouble logging in, though. Many others report problems on social media, as this usually happens when a gaming network goes down. I remember Sony had a major breakdown early in Fortnite season 5, which … did not go very well.

This comes after the company said it corrected a weakness that allowed malicious actors to disguise the consoles of other people with direct messages. The week was not great for the PlayStation Network. Signing on PSN is a requirement for the vast majority of games currently on the market. Network failure therefore greatly limits the use of a console under most circumstances. You can play some games offline, but most of them disable some of these features.

It may take hours to solve these problems, but it seems to be a more limited set of technical problems, as opposed to a complete failure, so we hope the problem will be resolved more quickly. Check back for more information here or on Sony's official status page. Hope this will be done in time for Fortnite tournament tonight, or we will have a lot of unfortunate royals fighting on social media.
