‘Pokémon Go’ Halloween Event Raid Update: New Bosses Have Appeared

[ad_1]

Pokémon Go ’s annual Halloween event is live and with it comes new Raid Bosses for trainers to battle and catch.

While the highlight of the new bosses is Giratina, the Ghost and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh Region, there are others that share the ghostly theme of Halloween. These changes began with the update on Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. EDT and are likely to stay until at least Nov. 1.

Giratina was already announced to be the Legendary Raid boss until Nov. 20, but it’s unlikely the other raid tiers will remain the same.

POKEMON GO HALLOWEEN RAID UPDATE

The new Raid Bosses will include a bunch of Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon. There are also Pokémon like Togetic and Kirlia that get Gen 4 evolutions, that are included in the Raids. Unfortunately, those evolutions are not yet available, but this is a great time to stock up on candy and get one of the Raid Pokémon with good IVs.

There’s also a chance at some of the Pokémon appearing in their Shiny forms. Shinx, Mawile, Duskull, Shuppet, Houndoom, Tyranitar, and Absol all have their Shiny forms in the game so be sure to try your hand at catching them.

Here are the new Raid Bosses and their tiers that appeared with the new Halloween event.

GIRATINA RAID COUNTERS

If you’re looking to capture Giratina, you’ll want to bring some heavy hitters into battle. Many Pokémon Go players are recommending the strong Dragon types that are currently in the game like: Rayquaza, Salamence, Latios and Dragonite. Ghost types like Gengar and Shuppet are also welcome.

Giratina is weak to Dragon and Ghost-type attacks so bringing the above Pokémon with the corresponding attacks will increase your odds of taking it down. But be sure to have a large group when you take it on, as with other Legendary Raids, they take a lot to bring down.
