Pokemon GO players are not really short of Shiny Pokemon capture at the moment.

Set aside the newly added Bright Caterpie as a member of Field research in November and global event that saw Brilliant Pirsir introduced, Pokemon GO players already have over 120 Shiny Pokemon in the game.

Add to that the brilliant Elekid (and evolutions Electabuzz & Electivire) as part of the new version of Gen 4 and you have many new brilliant choices in the game.

BUT, let's be honest, Niantic is keen to pump as much Bright Pokemon as possible right now. And to celebrate the release of Pokemon Let's GO on Nintendo Switch, they surprised everyone with ANOTHER Shiny.

This time it is Magnemite's turn and, by extension, the advanced form of the Pokémon, Magneton.

Finally, you can also get a brilliant Magnezone, but it is not yet available in the game.

For now, here is everything you need to know to make the games brilliant.

At the time of writing these lines, we can state with certainty that your best bet to meet a brilliant Magnemite will be in the wild.

Similarly, remember that it is not possible to meet a Shiny Magneton in nature.

In addition, it goes without saying, but when you find that Shiny Magnemite you will need 100 candies to evolve.

Egg traps:

At the time of writing this article, Magnemite is currently not available in eggs. There is therefore no chance of finding a gloss via this method.

Raid Battles:

Magnemite is not currently a raid leader, which also excludes this option.

In nature:

Magnemite breeds in the wild, with slightly increased rates for the duration of the event Let's GO. However, to increase your chances of meeting a brilliant, you want to go somewhere by producing as much Magnemite as possible.

We suggest that to stimulate your chances, you should head to the Silph Road Atlas Global Nest to find your nearest Magnemite Nest, because obviously, the more you meet, the higher your chances are.

This comes as Niantic announced that more Pokemon in the game would be available in the evolution in Pokemon Go, and that the cost of candy evolution has been reduced for many species with a Gen 4 evolution.

The evolving Pokémon such as Rhyhorn, Porygon and Duskull only take 25 candies instead of 50.
