You will find a coach who wants to distribute his Bulbasaur. To get the Pokemon, you must have captured at least 30 Pokemon.
Charmander
Location: Route 24
By going through Route 24, you will meet a coach who wants to give up his Charmander because he does not feel good enough to be his coach. To keep Charmander away, you have to prove that you are a better coach than him. Now, capture at least 50 Pokemon and you can get his Charmander.
Squirtle
Location: Vermillion City
Upon entering Vermillion City, look for Agent Jenny in front of a house near the Pokémon Center. Apparently, Squirtle is a very bad Pokemon and Agent Jenny wants a good coach to adopt him. Before Constable Jenny decides to give Squirtle, you have to prove your value to him, that is, by capturing at least 60 Pokemon.
