Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee are now available on Switch, marking the debut of the series on the Nintendo Hybrid Console. How to catch Meltan
The key to getting a Meltan in Let's Go is to connect the games to Pokemon Go. As mentioned before, you can associate the mobile title to Let's Go via Bluetooth and transfer any Pokemon Gen 1 that you have captured there to the Switch games. The Pokémon you transferred will then appear in Go Park, a new facility replacing the Safari area of Fuchsia City. To begin a transfer, simply contact the receptionist at the Go Park reception and follow the instructions on the screen. It's a one-way process; any Pokémon you send from Go to Let's Go can not be returned to mobile play. However, you will need to make at least one transfer to catch Meltan, because sending a Pokémon to Let's Go will reward you with a special item in Go: the Mystery Box.
The mystery box is the key to invoking Meltan in Pokemon Go. Once opened, the Mythic Pokémon will begin to appear in nature for a limited time, and you will be able to capture it as any other monster. However, you must act quickly to catch as much as possible; the Mystery Box will only stay open for 30 minutes and you will have to wait seven full days before you can activate it again by transferring another Pokémon.
Although you can usually only transfer the original 151 Pokemon, Meltan is the only exception. Once you've managed to catch one in Go, you'll be able to send it to Let's Go titles in the same way as you would with any Generation 1 Pokémon. You'll then be able to get it back into the Go park to add to your team.
For now, this is the only way to get Meltan in Go or Let's Go. You will not be able to find it in the wild in Switch games, so if you want to add one to your collection, you will need to link the two titles. However, the Pokemon company has announced that a new series of special Meltan search quests would be available to Pokemon Go players this winter, suggesting that there would be other ways of doing this. to acquire in the future.
Meltan is a pure Pokemon Steel type of a height of eight inches, making it one of the smallest monsters in the Pokémon universe. Although it does not seem particularly intimidating, it has a notable distinction: Meltan is the first mythical Pokémon able to evolve and he is able to become a gigantic monster called Melmetal.
How to evolve Meltan
As before, Pokemon Go is the key to getting Melmetal. In order to evolve Meltan, you have to feed him enough in Go, as you would for most other Pokémon in the mobile game. These items are acquired each time you catch a Meltan or send one to Professor Willow, but be warned: you will have to capture a large number of Meltans if you hope to get his evolution, because the mythical Pokémon requires a huge sum of 400 Sweets to evolve.
Given the time it takes to reopen the Mystery Box, amassing enough Candy to evolve Meltan is a daunting prospect. Fortunately, if you have accumulated rare candies, you can use them to speed up the process. You can also feed Meltan with Pinap Berries during the capture phase, which will increase the number of candies you will receive if you catch them successfully.
