The Pokemon company has shared another trailer for the upcoming Pokemon RPGs from Nintendo Switch, Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee. This new video, which you can look at above, presents some areas of the Kanto area that we have not seen yet, as well as some new moves that your Pokemon partner will be able to learn during the adventure.
The trailer begins with an overview of secret techniques, new ground movements that your Pikachu or Eevee starter can use to open blocked lanes around Kanto. These techniques replace the HM movements you previously needed to teach Pokemon to fully explore the region in the original yellow version; the Chop Down technique helps to clean certain types of trees from the planet, while Sea Skim allows you to jump on a surfboard and cross the water.
Pikachu and Eevee will also be able to learn a handful of new exclusive attacks that they can trigger during the battle. Pikachu can jump on a surfboard to launch a new water-like movement called Splishy Splash, which also has a chance to paralyze your opponent. Eevee, meanwhile, can learn from exclusive Water, Electric and Fire attacks called Bouncy Bubble, Buzzy Buzz and Sizzly Slide. Each one inflicts damage and has a side effect; The bouncing bubble restores the HP, while the last two are able to paralyze and burn enemy Pokémon respectively.
The new trailer also offers a brief tour of the city of Celadon, one of the largest regions of the Kanto region. Celadon is home to Erika, the fourth gym boss you'll meet during your trip. The titles of Let's Go are launched on Nintendo Switch on November 16th. They come out with the Poke Ball Plus, a Poke Ball controller that can be used to play the game and carry a Pokémon with you.
