The Porsche Panamera and Sport Turismo are both enjoying Porsche's beloved GTS trim and we are delighted.

Almost every time Porsche offers a GTS variant of one of its models, it's a festive reason, because they are always sitting sweet spot between cost and performance. We are delighted to say that it is time to release your party hats because the people of Stuttgart unveiled the Panamera GTS and the GTS Sport Turismo on Monday.

The Panamera GTS and its more family-oriented Sport Turismo are both motivated by a 4.0-liter, turbocharged V8 producing 453 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. These are positioned well below the Panamera Turbo bonkers-fast but comfortably above the more basic Panamera toppings.

The Panamera is a big car, but thanks to hard work, an eight-speed PDK gearbox and the all-wheel drive of the GTS and Sport Turismo will reach 60 miles in 3.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 181 mph for the Panamera GTS and 179 mph for the Sport Turismo Long Roof variant.

As is typical with a GTS-trim car, the list of standard equipment is a hit album from the list of options of the standard Panamera. Features such as the Sport Chrono Package, sports exhausts with black tips, Porsche Advanced Suspension Management System (PASM) and more powerful brakes are all included. An entirely new thing for the Panamera is the inclusion of a driver-configurable color head-up display.

Porsche's order books are now open for GTS and GTS Sport Turismo, with prices starting at $ 129,350 for the first and $ 135,550 for the latter. The cars are expected to enter the showrooms of US dealers in the second half of 2019.
