The PlayStation 4 is celebrating today its fifth anniversary today, November 15, and to mark the occasion, Sony has shared some remarkable statistics and thoughts with some game developers. These include new sales data among hot spots on popular controllers.
An infographic on the PlayStation blog tells the story. The PS4 sold 86.1 million hardware units, as well as 777.9 million software units. The system has also received 11 major software updates from among countless "stability updates". The data also shares some popular games, but lists them alphabetically rather than by rank.

In terms of hardware, DualShock's superior color charts are flat black, blue, red, white, and camouflage. Finally, the rarest PS4 is the PS4 Pro Edition 500 million units, limited to 50,000 units. Sony has also announced a brand new PS4 bundle, which includes Black Ops 4.
Sony has also released a long blog featuring favorite games from top studio developers such as Guerrilla, Insomniac, Sony Bend and Naughty Dog. Many PlayStation 4 exclusives such as God of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn have been nominated by other developers, with a selection of third-party and independent products like Red Dead Redemption 2, Bloodborne and Inside.
