PS4 Exclusive Days Gone Delayed

Sony has provided updates for some of the titles under development in its international studios, revealing that the title of the PS4, Days Gone, had been delayed. In an article on the PlayStation blog, Asad Qizilbash, vice president of marketing for Sony Interactive Entertainment America, confirmed that the open world shooter would be launched on April 26, 2019. It was scheduled for February 22, 2019.

In his statement, Sony said that it had been done in order to come out of a busy period and give the developer Sony Bend some time to improve the title. "We recently decided to transfer the Days Gone release from February to April 26, 2019," said Qizilbash. "While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of its fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to fine-tune Days Gone."

In Days Gone, players take control of a biker called Deacon St. John, who happens to also be a bounty hunter making his way through the devastated world on his bike. Days Gone's infernal apocalypse is made up of zombie-like creatures called Freakers, which move fast and which, after the trailers, often seem to run in hordes.

We played at Days Gone at E3 2018 and, according to Oscar Dayus, this seemed pretty basic. "The meta-game of character progression – as well as the most significant narrative content and the entire open world – was not accessible in the version I played", a- he declared. "My hope is that this is a bad demo, rather than a bad game … However, at the current viewing, Days Gone will have to dramatically improve its budget … to become more than the relatively zombie shooter basic that it currently seems to be.
