The latest system update for the PlayStation 4 is now online. After a beta period in August 2018, all players can now update their system to firmware 6.00. Curiously, for a full update of the number, there is no major revision of the system, but again, we have already learned that when beta invitations were sent.
To this end, the firmware release notes 6.00 of the PS4 are (quite surprisingly) brief and vague:
- This system software update improves system performance.
This is not really much, but you should rest knowing that your console will work much more easily.
The latest update received by the PlayStation 4 was version 5.55 in May 2018. It also improved system performance. In March 2018, Update 5.00 brought a number of major system changes and additions, including playback time management and quick menu updates.
Unfortunately, the ability to change our PSN names for a long time did not materialize with this update, as some had hoped. We can dream, at least. At least the PlayStation Store's search bar feature has been recently updated, making it easy to find games.
Are you excited about this PlayStation 4 firmware update? Or do you want it to be a bit wider? Let us know!
