PUBG Graphics Downgrade patch fix details

[ad_1]

A large number of framerate and performance issues have affected PlayerUnknown's battlegrounds. A new patch will be deployed on September 18th to resolve the issues. There is a concerted attempt to minimize the impact. The details are below.

The following graphic changes are attenuated.

Quality of the shadow (dynamic / static) lowered

Post treatment

  • Disable Motion Blur
  • Decrease in the quality of ambient lighting (SSAO)
  • Disable depth of field
  • Turn off Lens Flare
  • Decreased eyes Quality of adaptation. This is the time it takes for you to adapt to the darkness when you go from a bright place to a dark place.

Effects

  • Disable the reflection of the screen space (SSR). This is the reflection of Windows and others.
  • Disable refraction. This is the refracted light.
  • Disable Underground Diffusion (SSS). That's when there is light inside an object to make it more real.
  • Turn off the light of the particles. This is the dynamic light of different effects such as explosions.
  • Reduce the number of particles created.

The resolution and textures should not change. The developers wanted to make sure that the quality remained the same, they only change the specific graphics like reflections and shadows. Everyone does not have problems, but enough players want to solve the problem.

There are a few other things in the patch that are being corrected. Among these include the problem of lost connection to the host and inventory customization problems where the game slows considerably. Discussions are ongoing with Microsoft on performance monitoring and problem resolution.

Finally, some brief details have been published about War Mode. War Mode will be available on September 21st. War mode will only be available on certain event weekends. The war mode will be a new event with different settings. It's a PVP deathmatch in a static area. If you are killed, you will reappear on planes flying at random. Teams can earn points for rollovers, kills and teammates. The team that reaches the points goal, or has the most points at the end of the clock, wins the battle. War mode will be available to everyone at any time when the custom match feature is available in October.

The hotfix will be released on September 18th and the war mode on September 21st.
