Ram 1500 Classic is the old body style that sells next to the new

Automobile manufacturers are starting to learn this simply because they are deploying a new body style of a vehicle that does not mean the demand for the old-fashioned arrows. Nissan did it with the Rogue when he released his new body style by selling the old and new together. Jeep did it with the Wrangler by selling the Wrangler JK (the old body style) alongside the new Wrangler JL this year. Now Ram Trucks does it with the Ram 1500 Classic.

Truck enthusiasts will recognize the 1500 Classic as the old body-style truck that was popular before the launch of the new Ram 2019 truck. The Classic will be sold right next to the new truck and will likely be cheaper, making trucks more affordable masses looking to buy. Ram says the 1500 Classic is known internally as the DS model while the Ram 1500 of 2019 is known as the DT.

Ram points out that the Classic 1500 directly targets both beginner and commercial buyers and that it keeps the old truck away from these two categories of buyers. With the old body style, trucks will also sport a new "Classic" badge on the wings. There will be four versions available with Tradesman, Express, Big Horn / Lone Star, and Special Service Vehicles.

There are three packages for these trucks, including Chrome Plus on the Tradesman with chrome bumpers, body-color upper fairing, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry and carpet. Tradesman SXT will be offered on Tradesman trim adding chrome bumpers, a front body color fascia, a 5-inch radio, fog lights, a dual exhaust for V8 models and 20-inch chrome wheels.

An Express Black Accent set is available on all Express trim colors and has black wheels, black glasses and black badges. 1500 Classic buyers can choose a regular cab with an 8 "bed or a 6" bed. 4 ", buyers having a bed of 6" 4 & # 39; & # 39; optional. Both 4 × 4 and 4 × 2 models will be available with either a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine or a 5.7 liter Hemi V8. A 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 will be available later. Ram 1500 Classic will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018 with unannounced prices for the moment.
