Ram is preparing a pair of 2019 1500 pickup concepts for SEMA

This year's SEMA show is fast approaching and Ram has previewed two Moparized concept trucks it plans to unveil.

Both are based on the new 2019 1500 version and, as is generally the case, the concepts probably provide for a multitude of upcoming upgrades in the Mopar catalog in the near future.

One of the concepts is based on the 1500 Rebel and includes many parts to enhance the truck's off-road capabilities. The list includes a 2.0-inch lift kit, 18-inch heel-lock wheels, 35-inch Goodyear DuraTrac tires, aluminum running boards, sports bars and spotlights, and gray metallic skid plates. Under the custom performance hood, the well-known 5.7 liter V-8 has been upgraded with a cold air intake.

Inside, the soft, hard interior trim has been transformed to a black monochromatic look, a distinct change from the standard red anodized Rebel trim. Mopar accessories complete the interior, including all-weather mats, brushed and polished door sills with the Ram logo, wireless charging and a custom pedal kit.

The second concept builds on the 1500 Big Horn trim level and includes a prototype downhill kit that drops the 2.0-inch truck, offering a more aggressive stance and appearance. It also sports 22-inch wheels housed in flared wheel arches.

Inside, Mopar accessories include all-weather mats, brushed and polished sill protectors with the Ram logo and a custom pedal kit. Here too, you will find a 5.7 liter V-8 with a cold air intake.

The pickup we really expect from Ram is the Ram Rebel TRX production, announced by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles truck division in June. All that Ram will say is that the launch will take place before 2022.

Mopar says it will have 14 vehicles on display at SEMA, as well as hundreds of pieces. One of them will be a new box engine that should be a modern version of the 426 Hemi V-8, dubbed the Elephant Motor. The coup of sending of the action is given in Las Vegas on October 30th.
