An icon found in iOS seems to confirm the latest rumors about the redesign of the Apple iPad Pro 2018, which is expected to be unveiled Tuesday.
Apple iPad 2018 Pro icon.
The icon shows much smaller glasses than those of 2017 and no sign of home button, as claimed by many reports. Rounded corners are also visible.
While it's hard to say for sure, the icon seems at least to match the rumors that Apple is planning to get rid of the sides in a return to devices like the SE iPhone. This could ease the handling of new iPads while leaving Apple with more internal design space.
The icon was discovered by 9to5Mac.
It is generally expected that the 2018 pros will be available in 10.5 and 12.9-inch sizes, equipped with faster "A12X" processors, TrueDepth cameras for Face ID and animoji, and more. USB-C instead of Lightning. The last would be a radical change for the Apple product line, but would enhance the "professional" credibility of the product.
