PlayStation 4 users will have early access content 30 days after launching Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2 game and its multiplayer component, 'Red Dead Online', later this month. Sony explained what people can expect on Friday's PlayStation blog. It's basically a bunch of extra cosmetics.
PS4 owners will have the opportunity to personalize the protagonist Arthur Morgan with the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit outfit in "Red Dead Redemption 2". a leather jacket with ornate patterns; wingtip collar with black scarf; and custom ornate loop with matching startup tips. "A smooth but sturdy look, the Grizzlies Outlaw outfit is perfect for exploring the forests of Ambarino," said Sony.
Three more content will be available for PS4 players in "Red Dead Online" at launch. One is the Arabian horse in red chestnut. "Recognized for its speed and handling, the Arab Red Chestnut is in a higher class than most wild horses, with slightly better performance than the first available horse," said Sony. Meanwhile, the Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter saddle – an upgraded version of the basic saddle offered to players in "Red Dead Online" – improves health and increases stamina, if at all.
Finally, the High Roller double action revolver comes with a unique player card and skull patterns engraved in the handle. It also has a higher rate of fire than the other revolutions available in the game. Sony said that this model was an excellent choice for mounted combat.
PS4 users will need an active subscription to PlayStation Plus to access "Red Dead Online" and access its early access features.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" and "Red Dead Online" will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
