We had the opportunity to play Red Dead Redemption 2, and just say it looks like one of the most detailed open world games we've ever played. You can find out more in the overview below where you can find out more about our experiences in performing story missions and exploring the world of gambling. There are also plenty of details below about the story of the game and all its trailers. With the release date of October 26th approaching, we learned a lot more about the base game, as well as the first details about its upcoming Red Dead Online mode in November.
Where is the RDR2 Set, and is it a prequel?
Twelve years before the main events of the original game, this film focuses on the outlaw life of the Van der Linde gang, led by the main antagonists of Red Dead Redemption. After a flight to Blackwater (one of the main cities of the original game), the gang finds itself on the run. Dutch, his right arm Arthur Morgan and several gang members face a life on the run while clashes with rival gangs and the law make their situation even more desperate.
Rockstar also released a description of the plot:
America, 1899. The end of the Wild West era began as lawmen hunt down the latest outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a burglary in the city of Blackwater (west), Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the nation's best bounty hunters hitting their heels, the gang must fly, fly and fight their way through America's rugged heart to survive. As growing internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must choose between his own ideals and his loyalty to the gang that raised him.

The first trailer of Red Dead Redemption 2, which began on October 20, 2016, was a piece of humor that highlighted many places in the game, while portraying the dark tone of the main narrative. In this trailer, we saw several towns and villages, many of which are full of life and activities – such as cattle ranchers, hunters who bring back their cattle and a group of citizens who hang out in the general store.
You play who?
Although Red Dead Redemption's central character, John Marston, plays a role in the story, the main protagonist of the sequel is Arthur Morgan. As the right hand man and leader of the gang's implementation, he will take on most of the day-to-day tasks of gang surveillance, including John Marston, a young and less experienced. When it comes to keeping the gang and its community afloat, Morgan is skilled enough to take on a variety of jobs to make sure everyone is well fed and in good spirits. But as the story progresses, he will begin to question his own determination to adopt the Dutch lifestyle and determine if he still has his place in the gang.
