Red Red Redemption 2 PC port potentially indicated in a companion application

Red Dead Redemption 2 could still arrive on PC. The recently published mobile companion app seems to contain code that refers to computer settings, graphic options and even a virtual reality device.

Intel's Rockstar indicates that the associated application includes files referring to graphics options, time anti-aliasing, water reflection resolution, shadows and particle quality . Some files seem to say "PcVersion" and we mention Oculus, presumably a reference to the VR device line. Other elements of the code could refer to a desktop version of the associated application, but it would be strange to have such deep graphics settings for an application that serves primarily as an interactive map and strategy guide.

Until now, Rockstar told his mother about the possibility of a PC port, but there is still reason to believe that it will eventually happen. Grand Theft Auto V was the most recent version of the company. Console versions without a PC version were released before announcing the port much later. Once again, the first Red Dead Redemption never arrived on PC despite years of requests from fans, so it is certainly not engraved in the marble. These leaks in companion applications are the most concrete indication we have seen so far, and they are still anything but certain.

If you want to get on the wagon train without waiting for an uncertain PC port, but still want to get the best performance possible, a recent analysis concluded that Xbox One X was the answer. The PS4 Pro came in second, followed by the standard PS4, and finally the Xbox One S. There is currently a very good deal that will bring you both Red Dead 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider for $ 70.
