We are less than a month away from the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, the sequel to one of the most popular games of the PS3 / Xbox era. Red Dead Redemption was launched in 2010, which means that fans of the franchise have waited nearly a decade to continue their adventure across the US border.
Today, Rockstar Games has released a little over 4 minutes of game footage, showing a special glimpse of first-person mode. Usually a third-person game, Rockstar suggests that the next game will have a first-person mode for those who want to fully immerse themselves.
Part of the RDR draw comes from the beauty of his open world experience. With RDR2, Rockstar is challenged to make everything bigger, better and more dynamic. In this trailer, the company shows small but significant details like the dynamic weather (see Arthur Morgan's icy breath in the snow) and also gives us a deeper insight into important game mechanics such as Dead Eye.
As part of the expansion of the world of RDR itself, players have even more customization options, with the ability to decide what Arthur wears, eats and how he handles his own physical hygiene. Although this is not visible in this trailer, we also learned that players can also customize their horses.
You can check out the gameplay trailer below. Red Dead Redemption 2 is available from October 26th.
