We have covered some of the Google Pixel 3 XL leaks in the past, but we do not cover all leaks and rumors. This particular rumor is interesting and we thought about talking a little bit about it. The YouTube channel "tech first page" published a video claiming that Google had asked to use some of their video clips.
What struck the chain is that they never said anything flattering about the Google Pixel 3 XL. Most of their covers are negative and question the notch of the phone and other design features. The channel also revealed that Google had also contacted other YouTubers with similar videos and harvested video clips.
Combined with some interesting observations on unpacking a Google Pixel 3 XL from a Russian mailing. "Front page tech" concludes that all leaks, photos, lost phone shipments and the phone left in a Lyft have all been orchestrated by Google to keep the secret of the phone. The YouTube channel believes that the phone that Google will announce on October 9th is not the phone we've seen. Watch the full video below, fast forward to the 3:00 mark if the video does not start there.
It's an interesting theory and it would be really great if Google removed something like that. This would be the ultimate magic trick in the world of smartphone leaks. Make the leaks and the public watch what your right hand is doing while the left is doing something else. Brilliant if it's true. But remember, nothing is confirmed here and this rumor has to be treated like any other rumor. We will see next October 9th when Google will come on stage to present the new Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL.
