Sale of Cyber Monday 2018 ebooks in progress: dozens of Kindle titles starting at $ 2

[ad_1]

Amazon has a long list of e-book discounts for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekends, and unlike some other offers today, they do not sell.

Although the sale of Amazon's "Black Friday" e-book is technically complete, there are still dozens (if not hundreds) of discounted titles available for as little as $ 2. I highlight some of my personal favorites here (if you allow me) and inserts some extra highlights among the Open Road Media collaborators, who were kind enough to share their discount list with us at the # 39, advance, too. Full Disclosure: My readings tend to bias crime novels, science fiction, and historical fiction.

Note that the links lead directly to the Amazon product page and CNET may receive a portion of the revenue from the sale of the products shown on this page.

Updated Sunday, November 25 at 10:30 am ET with current offers.

Read and recommended (by me)

Seveneves

Seveneves by Neal Stephenson ($ 3): The moon explodes on page 1 … then the clock begins to mark the time of humanity on Earth. Like many of Stephenson's books, this one is rich in scientific detail and has a third problematic act, but there is still much to be appreciated and pondered here.

The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson ($ 3): Next to Snow Crash (not available for sale), it is probably the most read book of the author: a look at the irreversibly changed world by a future nanotechnology revolution.

The talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith ($ 3): This first book in the Highsmith Ripley series is a terrifying look at the mind of a sociopath.

Night round by Stephen King ($ 3): Speaking of terrifying: This classic Stephen King news collection is not for the sensitive souls.

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown ($ 3): Yes, this techno-thriller from the author of The Da Vinci Code is pretty ridiculous. But with its standard 5-page chapters on cliffhanger and zippy layout, it's a pretty entertaining read.

Origin of Dan Brown ($ 3): The author's latest entry in the Robert Langdon series makes more use of science fiction than some previous entries in the series, but that's another "awesome" purchase for reading. "Plane" at this price.

Other titles and note authors

  • Ed McBain books starting at $ 1: If you do judicial police, all that concerns Ed McBain will be the equivalent in reading cotton candy.
  • Jack Higgins Books from $ 2: At least 5 thrillers from the author of The Eagle Has Landed are on sale for only $ 2 each. I've read a lot of these old boilers from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and these are usually fun and tense readings (if you like that kind of thing).
  • Graham Greene books starting at $ 2: Many of the classic works of this mid-century British author are currently on sale for two dollars, including Our Man in Havana.

You will also find titles of those who love Nellson DeMille, Arthur C. Clarke, John Jakes, Mark Bowden, Octavia Butler and Henning Mankell. Some are their best-known works and series, others are lesser-known titles. But if you like the author, try your luck at these prices.

Note that some or all of these offers may expire at 23:59. PT tonight (Sunday, November 25). Additional discount titles will be added throughout the weekend. The Open Road link below also contains links to the Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and Google eBook stores.
