Spotted by a prolific tipster and cat lover Ice Universe, is a benchmarking test which not only reveals a change of shape for the Galaxy S10, but also has a telltale sign that he is retracing it to Samsung.
What the test reveals is that the Galaxy S10 has a new 19: 9 format and a potential screen of 3,040 x 1,440 pixels, extrapolating from the 869 x 412 pixels tested (the Galaxy S9 has a format of 18.5: 9,846 x 412 pixels). That joins the news Samsung is going oversize the Galaxy S10 but do not make it physically bigger. And you do that, yes, by making the display larger and virtually eliminating the top and bottom frames.
So, what is the telltale sign that follows this Samsung return?
As Ice Universe points out, Samsung is trying to hide the Galaxy S models using the "SM-G4x0" or "SM-G4x5" naming scheme and the benchmark test, a new benchmark: SM-G405F.
Should not Samsung maintain enhanced security around the Galaxy S10? In fact, based on the last years, no.
