Samsung is preparing to launch new Galaxy devices, inviting members of the media to an event on Oct. 11 that offers little clue to incoming material, with the exception of a "4x fun" index.

The invitation, posted on Samsung's global public relations website, suggests the existence of a "Galaxy event", but with no suggestions as to what to expect. The invitation does not mention a place or a time at which the event will take place on October 11, but will be broadcast via Samsung's websites.

There is some clue as to what the event will be, even if it is limited in terms of what they might relate to. The invitation is filed in the "Mobile" product category of the PR website and will also be broadcast on the Samsung-specific press site, which could mean something related to a smartphone.

The text that accompanies the invitation image suggests that the device will bring "more ways to express itself than ever before" and asks interested parties to "capture the fun" , the two elements can point to something an autonomous camera.

The "4X fun" could relate to a number of possible features in various devices, which makes it difficult to pin down. If it is considered in relation to an imaging device, it could mean an optical zoom 4 times in a camera, a high magnification that smartphones usually do not reach without using digital zooms.

It seems unlikely that Samsung is using the event to launch a new smartphone in the Galaxy range, as it does not generally launch new devices in the product line at this time of year. The most recent launch of the South Korean company of this type was the Galaxy Note 9 in August, while the Galaxy S9 landed in February, during which time Samsung typically launches upgrades of its respective aircraft.

Another possibility is that Samsung unveils its foldable smartphone at the long rumor. The CEO, DJ Koh, said on September 4 that the details of the device would be introduced before the end of the year, but at that time, it was possible that it would be broadcast at the conference of developers of Samsung in November.

Samsung uses the Galaxy brand for other devices, including the Galaxy Home smart speaker, tablets and, at one point, for the Gear smartwatch lineup before it changes brands.

Another possible device could be another camera attempt. The company produced three cameras between 2012 and 2014, including the interchangeable camera without a Galaxy NX lens in 2013, all taking advantage of Android and smartphone technology to provide smartphone-like features and a familiar interface.
