Google has announced a new version of Android for entry-level smartphones – Android Go based on Android Oreo.

With Android Go, Google aims to offer the best Android experience on low-end phones with less than 1GB of RAM. Android Go is an Android operating system very light and optimized for slow phones and not having enough storage space.

Android Go comes with its own Go apps for smartphones. Android Go apps are available on Google Play Store and can be downloaded to your phone. Some of these applications include Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Go Assistant, Go Files, and more.

At the beginning of April, Android Go phones were marketed in some markets, including India. More and more smartphone manufacturers like Asus and Samsung have partnered to launch their Android Go phones. Here is a list of Android Go phones available in India.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core
Samsung is the newest in the community to launch an Android Go smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is priced at Rs 6,190 and is available in three colors: black, blue and gold. The smartphone has a 5-inch quadHD display and is powered by an Exynos 7570 internal processor. With 1GB of RAM, the smartphone comes with 8GB of expandable storage.

The Galaxy J2 Core includes an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 2600 mAh battery with connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0.

Nokia 1
Nokia has two smartphones under Google's Android Go program. The Nokia 1 priced at Rs 4,999 offers a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and an IP52 rating for drop protection. It runs on MediaTek's MT6737 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of integrated storage. A microSD card slot is also available for a storage expansion of up to 128GB.

For photography, there is a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. The connectivity options on Nokia 1 include dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0. Nokia 1 is available in two colors: warm red and dark blue.

Nokia 2.1
HMD Global has launched another Nokia phone with Android Go – Nokia 2.1. In comparison with Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1 has better features and features. It is also sold at a higher price at Rs 6,999, and is available in blue / copper and light gray / silver color combinations.

Nokia 2.1 has a 5.5-inch HD display with anti-fingerprint coating. Running under the hood of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, it includes 8 GB of embedded storage. There is an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5 megapixel front camera with flash. The smartphone also has a massive battery of 4,000 mAh.

Micromax Bharat Go
After much anticipation and expectation, Micromax launched the Bharat Go smartphone in India in early May. The smartphone carries a price of Rs 4,399. It comes with 4G VoLTE, supports dual SIM card and has a 4.5 inch TFT display. Powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor, Micromax Bharat Go has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

There is a 5 megapixel camera at the back and front and a 2000 mAh battery. Micromax Bharat Go also has a smart key that will allow users to take screenshots, click on images and go into silent mode.

Z50 washing
Lava was one of the first to launch an Android Go smartphone in India. Lava Z50 is available in 4,199 RS and in two colors: gold and black. The smartphone has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen with a 2.5D curved glass on the top. Lava Z50 sports a 5-megapixel front and rear camera with bokeh mode on both cameras.

Keeping the phone running is a 2,000 mAh battery. The smartphone also contains 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage that can be extended to 64 GB. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor.
