Samsung will sell three models of Galaxy S10 next year, including an economic model and two high-end phones, have announced several reports in recent months. A new Korean story focused on the supply chain of new generation OLED display components reveals interesting details about the three phones, echoing some of the earlier rumors that not all devices would have curved displays.
Samsung has not manufactured a Galaxy S flat phone for a few years, favoring the double-edged design of its flagship handset. In fact, there has not been a Galaxy Note flat model for a while. But starting in 2019, Samsung will launch a flat version of 5.8 inches Galaxy S10, by ETNews, which should be good news for Samsung fans who prefer flat screens to curved screens.
According to the same report, the Galaxy S10 dish might not be as exciting as the more expensive models, which come in two sizes, including curved edges of 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches.
It is not yet known if the cheaper Galaxy S10 will share the same hardware with the more expensive models. Samsung's high-end Galaxy S10 will likely be powered by the flagship chips Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 8150, but a Galaxy S10 flat could be equipped with a midrange processor.
Apple has also launched three iPhones this year, but the cheapest, the iPhone XR, has the same guts as the iPhone XS, which means it is faster than any other flagship Android 2018 product.
Earlier reports indicated that the Galaxy S10 does not have a built-in fingerprint sensor, nor does it have a triple-lens camera on the back. The iPhone XR also has a single camera at the back, while iPhone XS phones both feature dual camera shooters. Samsung has already started serial production of Galaxy S10 panels, ETNews also said, and the phone is expected to launch at MWC 2019 by the end of February.
