SEATTLE – Seattle and other parts of the Northwest were inundated with blue light on Saturday night to pay tribute to Microsoft co-founder and Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen, who died last month from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma .
Several buildings and landmarks in downtown Seattle have become blue, including the Space Needle, CenturyLink Field, and Columbia Tower. Parts of the University of Washington, Washington State University, Microsoft and even the T-Mobile campus also participated.
Matt Smedley, spokesperson for Edelman, said the idea came from the support of supporters of the Seattle Seahawks and organizations in the Pacific Northwest, adding that the idea had been transformed. in a coordinated effort through the Downtown Seattle and Alliance for Pioneer Square associations.
