So, Nyamakop's platform game, bounced off the festival circuit, winning the Game Design Excellence Award at BitSummit in Japan and several nominations at the Independent Games Festival of Brazil. The South African independent studio teamed up with Good Shepherd Entertainment publisher to launch the PC and Nintendo Switch game on July 24th.

Developers Cukia Kimani and Ben Myres started working on Semblance in 2015, and this is their first game. It presents a playful aesthetic, with cartoony silhouettes and touches of color. It features a little creature named Squish who has to solve puzzles and save their world from jelly. It also adds a touch to the kind of platform: players will have to reshape their environment and character, flattening Squish to sneak into tight spaces and warp the landscape to block the dangers.

Good Shepherd started as Gambitious, a crowdfunding platform for independent games, before rebranding and moving to a publishing model. Its co-founder Mike Wilson has a lot of experience with that; he also helped found the independent publisher Devolver Digital. Since Good Shepherd went on to publishing, he has accumulated a varied portfolio. He has published titles like Diluvion's underwater adventure of Arachnid Games and the insolent insult of Vile Monarch Oh … sir! The roast of Hollywood.
