Shenmue 3 dev puts an end to crowdfunding efforts with more than $ 7.1 million raised

Shenmue 3 Developer Ys Net ended its crowdfunding efforts after raising more than $ 7.17 million from 81,078 contributors.

As some of you may remember, the studio started fundraising in 2015, when he launched the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter during E3.

During this initial campaign, 69,320 donors pledged more than $ 6.3 million, allowing Ys Net to reach the initial funding target of $ 2 million.

After the conclusion of his Kickstarter project, the development team opened a three month period of "lazy support" via PayPal. About 12,000 latecomers announced an additional contribution of US $ 800,000, bringing the grand total of all campaigns to US $ 7,179,510.
