Shiny Elekid, New Evolutions Added

Ahead of the Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee release, Pokemon Go has updated with some major additions Shiny Pokémon and evolutions.

With the update, a new event has started focusing on the Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon that evolve in Gen 4.

There are Combat Point (CP) changes as well as the hatches in Eggs. There's a lot to go through in this new Pokemon Go event and we have all the information.

POKEMON GO EVENT START TIME

The new Pokemon Go event begins Nov. 14 at 4 pm EST and ends on Nov. 27 at 4 pm EST.

SHINY ELEKID

Niantic is slowly, but surely, releasing Shiny forms of Pokémon already in the game and the Elekid line is getting some live this time.

Elekid will now hatch in 2km Eggs during this new event and will have increased chance of being Shiny. Shiny Elekid and the rest of his line a more orange coloring.

EGG CHANGES

The Pokémon who have evolutions in the Sinnoh Region will now begin to hatch from 2km Eggs. These Pokémon include: Magby, Elekid, Porygon, Rhyhorn, Togepi, Gligar, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Sneasel, Roselia and Duskull.

It's unknown that the 2km pool of Eggs is just those Pokémon, we will update as soon as we learn more.

NEW EVOLUTIONS

There are 11 new Pokémon added with this latest update, and they are all evolutions of Gen 1-3 Pokémon. While some Sinnoh evolutions were not included like Gallon and Froslass, there are still plenty of Pokemon Go players to obtain.

They require 100 candy of that Pokémon and a Sinnoh Stone that can be obtained through a Research Breakthrough. Also, Pokemon that used to need 50 candy to evolve like Rhyhorn and Togepi now just need 25.

Here are the new Pokémon and what they need to evolve:

Rhydon -> Rhyperior

Togetic -> Togekiss

Dusclops -> Dusknoir

Misdreavus -> Mismagius

Murkrow -> Honchrkow

Electabuzz -> Electivire

Magmar -> Magmortar

Porygon 2 -> Porygon Z

Sneasel -> Weavile

Gligar -> Gliscor

Roselia -> Roserade
