Google would be following Amazon's Echo Show with Google Home Hub, a 7-inch smart screen that connects to the Google assistant. Look for it at the October 9th Google event.
Google will unveil a 7-inch smart screen at its Oct. 9 event.
On Tuesday, MySmartPrice.com released photos of the upcoming product, which he says will be called "Google Home Hub". The device itself looks like a tablet that has been molded to the back of a speaker.
It will work as a Google Home product, integrated with the company's voice assistance software. But the addition of the 7-inch screen will allow you to do things like watch the news, see your calendar and look at photos. Depending on the leaks, the device can also display a live stream from a Nest Doorbell video camera.
However, the smart display does not seem to offer a full version of Android. The lost photos point out that Google Home Hub is designed for hands-free voice commands, although the screen supports touch.
The product will be offered in two colors, chalk and charcoal, and weighs about a pound. It can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The cost of the Google Home Hub is not very clear. But if the leaks are real, the product will be confronted with Echo Show from Amazon (pictured), a rival Smart Display product launched last year. The Echo Show initially sold for $ 229.99, but can now be purchased for $ 129.
The October 9 event, meanwhile, is expected to feature the new Pixel 3 phones from Google.
