Owners of some new Apple iPhones seem to have difficulty charging their device via cable.
The problem seems to be the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max, two of the latest phones from the tech company that began shipping just a week ago.
An increasing number of owners are coming to the forums to express their frustration with the problem, which in the worst case results in a complete failure of the Lightning cable loading process.
During a test conducted by YouTuber Unbox Therapy on multiple iPhone XS and XS Max devices, the problem could be replicated, although it manifested itself slightly differently with each device. So, with some phones, the charging process could not start when the phone was in sleep mode and the cable was connected (the screen is supposed to turn on to inform you that the process charging has begun), while in other cases, charging only starts once you have tapped the screen.
In a strange case, an iPhone XS Max not only did not turn on when the cable was plugged in, but it also failed to start charging when the phone was tapped on the screen.
In the Unbox Therapy experience, two of the four XS phones turn on and start charging correctly, while only one of the four XS Max phones did. But some people also reported that the phone felt like recharging, but sometimes stopped after a short time.
Unbox Therapy also noticed that on certain occasions, the phone was getting stuck and staying in sleep mode.
As you can see, the charging issues with Apple's latest phones are many and varied, and it's not clear if it's a software or hardware problem. However, the fact that some recent commentators have pointed out that they suddenly saw the same problem on older devices iDevices suggests the precedent, which means that a solution should not be too difficult to solve.

This is not the first time that Apple faces iPhone problems at launch.
