You may have heard about the bug affecting Pixel phones, which prevented the recording of photos taken with the camera. Well, now it seems that there are also similar problems with the texts. According to a tip we received, the latest security update (5 November) could result in the disappearance of SMS text messages for some.

Our newsletter is not the only one to notice, because there are several similar reports on Reddit, with even more observers saying that they too have experienced the problem. Users of Pixels 3 and 3 XL were affected – and many of them had not saved their messages since the purchase of the phone, which heightened annoyance and inconvenience.

We are not quite sure that it's a bug with the Pixel 3 itself or just with the Messages application, but there does not seem to be any reports about him on other devices. One user reported that they contacted Google support but did not receive any relevant help. We contacted Google to find out what's going on, but we have not heard anything yet.
