2018 was a good year for ridiculous and gigantic LEGO builds. Just a few weeks ago, there was this size of handy LEGO Bugatti.
Now, someone left and created a mega-dimensional reconstruction of the new "spaceship" campus of Cupertino – also called Apple Park.
Designer Spencer_R took a little over two years and required nearly 85,000 pieces. Most of these hours have been devoted to reading drone images of campus construction. At 6.8 × 4.5 feet, it is larger than most kitchen tables. Spencer says that he weighs about 78 pounds.
Beyond the huge circular building that serves as the main feature of the building, tons and tons of tiny details accent the brick canvas: it owns the Steve Jobs Thea employee parking garages, the center of visitors and even some tiny basketball / tennis courts for good measure.
Oh, and trees. Many, and many, and many trees. 1,646 trees in all, according to Spencer's account.
It's hardly the first time Spencer has created a mega building – he's created custom creations for everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Rockefeller Center. That said, he notes that Apple Park is "almost as big as all [his] the LEGO skyscrapers combined "
